Abstract
The present study aimed to address the practice of export cartéis. The export cartéis are treated as antitrust exemptions in most
jurisdictions. Several studies indicate that export cartéis may distort internationaI trade, especially the least developed or developing countries. However, it is seldom discussed because of some particularities, since the practice often has government support. Finally, it is observed that this practice needs proper treatment, considering its possible effects on International trade.
